Why Choose The Montessori Inclusive School for your child's education?

For over a hundred years, Dr. Maria Montessori’s philosophy has resonated with countless educators and parents.  Find out why so many families choose the Montessori method of education for their child.

Child-Centered

“Follow the child” was Dr. Maria Montessori's mantra.  Through her studies and observations, she learned that children have a natural desire to learn and as educators, it is our responsibility to support and encourage this natural process.

Hands-on Learning

Children learn best using their five senses.  Dr.  Montessori  designed  unique  concrete

learning materials that teach concepts to children and develop their senses.  The materials are manipulated and investigated by the children as they work to master them.

Fosters Independence

The Montessori prepared environment allows children to be independent.  The shelves are built to a child’s height and the materials are meant to be manipulated by the children.

The teacher’s role is to be a guide and not to be the sole source of information.  With that in mind, Montessori learning materials are designed to be self-correcting to allow children to identify their mistakes without the need of an adult pointing them out.

In a Montessori classroom, children are allowed to do for themselves what an adult would normally often do for a child.

Joy in Learning

When you enter a Montessori classroom, you will see the children engaged and focused on their work.  They can satisfy their curiosity and their desire to learn in an environment that is designed to support and meet those needs.  Their learning is not from listening to lectures, but from real and concrete experiences from the world around them.

"Our care of the child should be governed, not by the desire to make him learn things, but by the endeavor always to keep burning within him that light which is called intelligence.."
